How Solar Systems Work:
Solar Power is free and clean.
The Solar Panel cells harvest the power from the sun and then convert it to the electricity you use to run your business/home.
As your Solar System produces more than your building uses, it feeds back into the Grid and your Utility Meter actually spins backwards.
This is called Net Excess Generation (NEG).
The Net Metering Law requires that you be credited at the time of use (TOU) and the Utilty Company pays you back annually based on these credits.
In Addition to the NEG credits there are many other financial benefits for solar system owners such as tax credits, cash grants, state grants, net-metering special bonus depreciation.
